摘要(Abstract)：

不同教育模式培养的学生具体有何不同，一直吸引着不同学科的研究兴趣，对图书馆信息学(LIS)而言，相关研究着眼的是不同教育培养的学生具有何种不同的信息主体特征。本研究借鉴信息行为和信息素养领域的成果，采用综合性的测度工具——个人信息世界指数来测度学生作为信息主体的整体表现和具体特征；以中国城市中学生和英国中学生为两组对应样本，采用问卷调查方法，考察了两国教育培养的中学生在信息领域的差异。研究发现，两国中学生群体内部都存在巨大的信息贫富分化；我国中学生在基础信息源和空间维度的得分略高，但在可及信息源和可获取信息源的数量及质量、课堂之外对知识类信息资源的需求和利用、开展知觉性和目的性信息实践的动力和智识等方面存在劣势。这为推进我国中小学图书馆的建设提供了有力证据，也从LIS视角说明素质教育需要信息资源和信息机构的深度参与。表7。参考文献48。
